Job Summary
CONTEXT:
One challenge in component and system technologies studies is that as highlighted by incidents like the Boeing 737 MAX crisis an aircraft program can face catastrophic safety and certification consequences if product safety analyses mitigation strategies and compliance evidence are not rigorously applied and fully tracked across design changes and manufacturing processes allowing defects or non-conformities to go undetected or unreported.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our service is to provide support through a Consultant in the context of product safety engineering activities related to the design review industrial follow-up and certification compliance of safety-critical aerospace components and systems for a confidential client.
The key responsibilities expected from our on-site delegate might include:
- Participate in design reviews and safety reviews.
- Support production teams in the analysis of non-conformities with a safety impact.
- Ensure compliance with the certification requirements of aeronautical authorities.
- Perform safety analyses in accordance with aeronautical standards.
- Identify failure scenarios that may affect aircraft safety.
- Evaluate the criticality and probabilities of failure in connection with FMDS.
- Verify that design changes do not degrade safety.
- Translate identified risks into design or process requirements.
- Define mitigation measures such as design change redundancy quality control and inspection.
- Ensure traceability of safety requirements within the technical documentation.
- Prepare the documentation demonstrating safety compliance for certification files.
Profile:
- Ability to perform safety analyses in an aeronautical environment and in accordance with applicable standards.
- Ability to identify failure scenarios affecting aircraft safety and evaluate their criticality and probability of occurrence.
- Ability to translate identified risks into design or process requirements.
- Ability to define mitigation measures including design change redundancy quality control and inspection.
- Ability to ensure traceability of safety requirements in technical documentation.
- Ability to participate in design reviews and safety reviews.
- Ability to verify that design changes do not degrade safety.
- Ability to support production teams in the analysis of safety-related non-conformities.
- Ability to ensure compliance with aeronautical certification requirements and prepare the related compliance documentation.
- An entrepreneurial experience or ambition is a plus (extra-professional or extra-academic as well).
- Immediate availability is preferred.
- Valid single permit for non-EU citizens.
