Job Summary

The Mission

As our Payroll Specialist your primary mission is to ensure the absolute accuracy and timeliness of our payroll operations. You will be the technical expert responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll cycle.

In this role you will guarantee that every employee is paid correctly taxes are filed accurately and all Social Security obligations are met according to Spanish legislation providing a reliable and professional service to our entire team.

What Youll Be Doing

1. Full Payroll Cycle Management

Data Orchestration: Lead the collection verification and preparation of all monthly payroll variables (fixed and variable compensation overtime bonuses and deductions).
Incident Control: Manage the communication and resolution of payroll incidents ensuring any discrepancies are corrected before the final disbursement.

2. Social Security & Tax Compliance

Technical Filings: Manage and supervise all movements in the Social Security system (Sistema Red): altas bajas and variations in working hours/contracts.
Leave Management (IT/AT): Coordinate sick leaves and work accidents ensuring proper communication with the Mutual Insurance (Mutua) and processing DELTA/SILTRA notifications.
Taxation: Ensure the correct application of IRPF (income tax) withholdings and oversee the generation of settlement (liquidaciones) and severance documents.
Social Security procedures and administration (social insurance contributions sick leave reports) and SEPE/Employment Office management

3. Reporting & Audit

Payroll Reporting: Generate monthly and ad-hoc reports on labor costs headcount and payroll trends for the Finance and People leadership.
Compliance Audit: Analyze Collective Bargaining Agreements (Convenios Colectivos) and labor laws to ensure the payroll process is always up to date with new regulations.
Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of payroll history tax filings and social insurance payments for internal and external audit purposes.

4. Employee Advisory

Expert Support: Act as the internal Help Desk for payroll queries explaining payslips tax deductions and social benefits to employees in a clear and professional manner.

Our ideal Player

Experience: You bring 35 years of specialized experience in Payroll and Labor Administration in Spain.
SME (Subject Matter Expert): Deep knowledge of Spanish Labor Law Social Security procedures (Sistema Red SILTRA DELTA) and IRPF taxation.
Numerical Excellence: Exceptional analytical skills and an eagle eye for detail; you thrive in environments where precision is non-negotiable.
Tech-Savvy: High proficiency in Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables complex formulas) and hands-on experience with payroll software or HRIS (SAP Workday etc.).
Communication: Fluency in both Spanish and English is required to manage international reporting and internal communication.
Education: University degree in Human Resources Labor Relations (Relaciones Laborales) Business Administration or Finance.
