Job Summary

Position: Machine Operator

Work Location: Braselton GA 30517

Payrate: $18.50/hr

Duration: 3 Months role with high chances of extension/conversion

2nd Shift: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm Must be able to train on 1st shift for a few months

Job Description:

Reviews shipping orders. Locates product in warehouse.
Loads/unloads material onto or from pallets trays racks and shelves by hand.
Prepares inventory for shipment.
Properly bands and shrink warps pallets and attaches shipping labels.
Processes shipping orders using computerized shipping system.
Loads and unloads trucks Maintains warehouse inventory on racks in a neat and orderly manner.
Trains lower-level Shippers/Receivers as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
must be mechanically inclined to prepare orders for shipment.

Education/experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
One year as a Shipper/Receiver or equivalent experience.

Skills:

Ability to use the required personal protective equipment at all times.
Must be a trained and qualified forklift operator with current/valid license.
Ability to communicate in English.
Ability to use basic math skills including addition subtraction multiplying dividing and counting.
Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features of the equipment.
Knowledge of products manufactured or warehoused at that plant.

Physical demands:

Requires ability to walk stand carry materials stoop kneel bend at waist and climb ladders or equipment.
Maximum unassisted lift 50 lbs. Average lift less than 25 lbs.

Work environment:

Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts fumes airborne particles and chemicals.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud and requires hearing protection.
Safety shoes and eye protection are also required.
