Position Description: The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) is seeking a qualified Software Developer to augment its existing IT team. The selected candidate will assist in the development enhancement and support of DYCD Financials systems supporting the multi-year discretionary contract initiative. These systems are built on a .NET Framework technology stack and are currently undergoing upgrades Core. The systems must remain robust user-friendly and efficient in order to support DYCD staff in managing the contracting and invoicing processes for discretionary contracts.

Position Mandatory Qualification: Software Developer; involved with all facets of the software development process including the research design programming testing and implementation of computer software.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

• Design develop and maintain the DYCD Financials systems which are built on Framework and in the upgrade process Core.
• Work with technologies such as Angular 17 HTML5 CSS JQuery JavaScript C# SQL Server DevExpress and other relevant tools within ecosystem.
• Integrate new features and functionalities based on user requirements ensuring seamless performance and scalability.
• Conduct impact analysis on large complex projects by assessing how changes in one program affect others.
• Perform unit testing debugging and documentation of developed code.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and databases.

• 60 months experience with C#.Net
• 60 months of experience with Angular 13 Javascript HTML CSS
• 60 months experience working with cloud-service providers such as Azure
• 84 months experience using Restful web services
• 84 months experience using SQL Management Studio
• 84 months of experience using object oriented programming
• 60 months of experience reading and understanding ColdFusion code
