Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Roving Patrol in Roanoke VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. Join Allied Universal at a high-tech aero and defense location as an armed patrol officer where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to reports with calm clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings restricted areas parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access to the location by verifying identification and/or visitor authorization monitoring entry and exit points and documenting access activity per site requirements.
- Complete required reports and logs communicate security-related information to Allied Universal supervision and/or client representatives and follow post orders for shift turnover and incident documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
