This is a full-time position available from Monday to Friday scheduled is from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The hourly pay rate is $14.50 based on experience and qualifications. This position is situated at our center located at 1108 Peachtree Street Cocoa FL 32922.
The Toddler 2s Teacher develops a cohesive teaching team coordinates the curriculum and manages the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom while implementing a curriculum that is appropriate for Toddlers (2 years of age). The Teacher in this role should be high-energy and able to work well with staff students and parents. Youll have the opportunity to serve as a model and mentor leader in the classroom champion a team environment and provide fun-filled learning opportunities while making a positive impact on the lives of our toddlers.
What Youll Do:
Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
Lead by example and encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching
Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social cognitive and emotional growth
Follow all Britt Childrens Academy policies and state regulations
Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement
Implement sensory-rich age-appropriate lesson plans
Encourage children to develop a community-spirited classroom through sharing caring language skills and self-regulation
Encourage independent feeding and self-help skills
A well-balanced schedule of activities including learning playing diapering / potty training eating and napping
Track childrens progress and report to parents
Collaborate with other educators
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
What We Need from You:
High School Diploma and/or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study preferred
FL DCF 45 hours required
FL DCF Transcript Please send transcript to You can retrieve the transcript from CDA for infants and Toddlers highly preferred
Must clear a full DCF level II background check.
At least 1-3 years of professional early childhood training/experience
Ability to write a lesson plan based on our curriculum Beyond Learning
CPR Certification and First Aid Certifications plus
