Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build debug refine and maintain steady state and transient thermal models using NPSS (Numerical Propulsion System Simulation).
- Develop NPSS customer models.
- Foster productive knowledge transfer of NPSS modeling techniques.
- Perform requirements analysis & requirements decomposition.
- Communicate effectively to leadership customers and peers including presentations and technical reports.
- Work collaboratively across cross-functional disciplines and teams.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences technology engineering.
- 7 years of experience with turbine engine Performance and Operability Modeling and Analysis.
Preferred Skills:
- Expert understanding of gas turbine engine steady state and transient thermodynamics and physics.
- Highly skilled and experienced with building debugging and refining NPSS engine cycle models.
- Productive mentoring skills that result in technical growth particularly with NPSS modeling.
- Experience in MBSE environments and connecting NPSS models to MBSE tools such as Cameo.
- Professional verbal & written communication skills; adept in presenting to upper leadership and customers.
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly with diverse and global teams.
- Self-motivated able to work with little supervision and take the initiative to get things done.
- Adapt quickly and effectively to changing priorities and program needs.
- Manage a variety of complicated tasks simultaneously.
- Proven track record of solving complex engineering problems
