Position: Material Handler
Location: Tewksbury MA - 01876
Duration: 6 Months
Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: 1st Shift
Summary:
- The Material Handler I supports warehouse and production operations by handling the receipt storage movement and distribution of materials. This entry-level role ensures materials are managed accurately safely and according to company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and damage
- Stock materials in designated warehouse locations
- Pick pack and stage materials for production or shipment
- Perform basic inventory transactions in ERP or warehouse systems
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
- Transport materials using pallet jacks or basic material handling equipment
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Report discrepancies shortages or damaged materials to the supervisor
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0 2 years of warehouse or material handling experience (preferred but often considered minimum exposure)
- Experience in warehouse manufacturing or distribution environments
- Familiarity with inventory control processes
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
