Job Summary

Job Title: Java Full Stack Developer/Java Developer

Location: Plano TX

Duration: 6 Months

Job description:

Responsible for Technical Oversight of Plan Build Run

Plan: Technical Scope Definition
Avoid/reduce Tech Debt
Ensure Enterprise Considerations (tech stack patterns security etc.) are included in scope
Recognizes gaps in stories/requirements and assists in providing clarification
Plan stories into right sequence of sprints etc. (i.e. design doc is NOT done as a catch-up activity after coding is done)
Build: Technical Oversight of Nonfunctional Requirements (NFR) and Build Quality
Participate in the NAQ Design Review Board (DzRB)
Design/Build to meet NFRs including general requirements such as maintainability flexible reuse.
Technical steps of ITx processes are executed quickly/efficiently.
Assists in development of proof of concepts to understand feasibility of concept new technology and products
Owner of the code repository Github
Final Governance Code Review of all code generated in the Team
Soft Tech Skills: Recognize gaps in stories/requirements; add clarifications to ensure above hard-NFRs and soft-NFRs (maintainable reuse etc.)

are included into the stories and story points.

Understand why technical quality matters at various layers of the architecture.
Understand how to design/build in a decoupled manner.
Hard Tech Skills: Design patterns DevSecOps pipeline programming patterns & anti-patterns; code review skills.
Run: 3rd Level Support & Root Cause Analysis
Ensure what is built/tested will not have any operational (performance availability reliability security etc.) problems in production.
Ensure what is built can easily be diagnosed fixed & redeployed.
Soft Tech Skills: Ensure proper logging & monitoring are built into the product/service design to make production support & RCA as efficient as possible.

Responsible for Growing/Maintaining Products & Services

Grow the scrum teams skills to build better products/services - design/code quality.
Build it faster using reusable components/patterns.
Anticipate/plan for tech debt reduction and tech uplift - proactive maintenance
Support the development/maintenance of product/service roadmaps working with ITx/NAQ POs and EA
Proactively ask for and learn about technical roadmaps and directions
