Summary
The Material Coordinator supports Q-Lines warehousing and logistics operations by ensuring accurate inventory
control timely material flow and effective communication between warehouse logistics and project teams. This role plays a key part in maintaining data integrity supporting project schedules and driving continuous improvement in material management processes.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Data Management
Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions in Q-Line systems and project WMS.
Includes Material Receipt Issue and OSD
Ensure data integrity across all material movements and transactions.
Assist with material reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies (OSD)
Coordination & Communication
Interface with Q-Line Warehousing manager Subcontractors and client representatives on shipment deliveries
and schedules.
Liaise with expediting and logistics teams on releases and delivery schedules.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project materials.
Maintain warehouse and laydown delivery schedules; issue daily/weekly updates.
Reporting & Documentation
Generate reports and update KPIs LEMs and material status documentation.
Collect and present warehousing KPI data to Manager and Client monthly.
Assist in preparation of monthly forecasts material look-ahead and invoicing scope.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
Support department goals and identify process improvement opportunities.
Ensure adherence to operational procedures safety health security and quality policies.
Other
Potential to perform other Material Management related tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
35 years of experience as a Material Coordinator in industrial construction or warehousing.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
Must pass background checks and pre-employment drug/alcohol testing
Proficiency with ERP and WMS systems (e.g. SMAT SiteSense).
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint SharePoint).
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.
Self-motivated adaptable and capable of working independently or in a team.
Safety Requirements
CSTS 2020 certification (additional safety training such as WHMIS or First Aid considered an asset).
