Job Summary

We are pleased to announce that we are seeking qualified applicants for two Redmond School District staff members to serve as Belonging Together Team Leaders. This is an extra-responsibility stipend position for the remainder of the 202526 school year.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking individuals dedicated to promoting and improving belonging districtwide. This small team is committed to fostering a welcoming inclusive and supportive environment for all students staff and families within our school district.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Employees holding this temporary assignment may perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned as necessitated by the mentee or supervising administrator.



    1. Attends Belonging Leadership meetings and training outside of standard hours.
    2. Develop and implement strategies to enhance belonging and inclusivity across all schools in the district
    3. Collaborate with school administrators teachers and staff to create welcoming classrooms and school environments
    4. Design and facilitate professional development sessions on inclusive practices and cultural competency
    5. Analyze district data to identify areas for improvement in creating a sense of belonging for all
    6. Engage with diverse community stakeholders to gather input and build partnerships
    7. Create and review policies to ensure they promote inclusivity and belonging
    8. Develop resources and materials to support inclusive practices in schools
    9. Coordinate and participate in events that celebrate diversity and promote inclusivity
    10. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of belonging initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
    11. Serve as a resource for staff students and families on matters related to inclusion and belonging
    12. Serves on or as a liaison for the Community Educational Equity Advisory Committee
    13. Is a role model in all aspects of professionalism.
    14. Completes other duties as assigned.

Ability to draft simple correspondence and some routine reports. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  10. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  11. Minimum of 3 years of experience in education diversity and inclusion work or related field
  12. Strong understanding of inclusive practices and cultural competency in educational settings
  13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  14. Demonstrated commitment to promoting belonging and inclusivity in education
  15. Strong organizational and project management skills
