The Process Engineering Co-op will provide hands-on experience that highlights the innovation and teamwork of CSL Seqirus a leading influenza vaccines manufacturing organization with operations in Holly Springs NC. Over the course of this co-op program the student will have opportunity to work on challenging projects that contribute to our vision to save lives and protect the health of people around the world.
Beyond making an impact through their work students will grow both personally and professionally while building meaningful relationships across the team.
Operating under the general guidance of the Process Engineering Management Team you will provide technical support for troubleshooting investigations and implementing corrective actions while also supporting implementation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for unit operations across the site.
Lead investigations and resolve issues to root cause; implement corrective actions.
Execute simple change controls and commissioning.
Troubleshoot system/equipment-related issues and develop sound engineering solutions.
Perform engineering tasks for design procurement fabrication and commissioning phases associated with standard or custom systems.
Support engineering strategy to ensure reliable safe operation of process equipment and utility systems during and after installation.
Scope / Accountability
Process equipment and systems related to assignments.
Ensure compliance with GMP safety and Seqirus engineering standards.
Decision Making
Solve problems requiring technical knowledge and complexity.
Assist others in troubleshooting when familiar with or have prior exposure.
Knowledge Skills and Competencies
Applies functional and technical expertise to solve complex problems/issues affecting the team.
Develops skills in multiple functional areas and identifies ways to streamline
processes.
Acts as a source of technical expertise serving as a role model for others and continually acquiring new skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Actively pursuing a Bachelors in Engineering with emphasis in Chemical
Engineering Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering Electrical
Engineering Computer Science / Engineering or Biomedical Engineering
Demonstrated academic performance to meet school standards for ongoing participation in the co-op program
Strong technical aptitude and an analytic approach to problem solving
Demonstrates excellent skills in organization team dynamics effective communication and prioritization of tasks
Enthusiasm to learn new tools & technologies
Maintains professional behavior
