Job Summary

This position is for a Head Cheer Coach at Pittsburg High School.

Duties are as follows but not limited to:

Recruit train and retain high school cheerleaders.
Monitor academic progress and attendance throughout season.
Create organize and maintain accurate inventory records of gear equipment and supplies and provide digital copy to AD at beginning and end of each season.
Attend and coordinate ALL practices athletic competitions and team meetings.
Work cooperatively with booster club parents staff teachers and administration.
Effectively manage assistant coach by providing leadership organization and direction.
Develop a team handbook outlining expectations rules and policies for being a cheer team member.
Provide effective instruction in training and skill development.
Oversee team travel and logistics and communication.
Other duties as assigned.
