The Department of Political Science and Global Development Studies at Saint Marys University invites applications for a 9-month Limited Term Appointment position (non-tenure-track 8-month teaching contract with a 4-week paid preparatory period) with teaching commencing on September 1 2026 and ending on April 30 2027. The Department has teaching needs in the areas of Public Policy Law and Politics and International Law.
Applications are sought from candidates who hold a completed or nearly completed Ph.D. in Political Science or cognate fields. The successful candidate will be assigned a standard teaching load of five (5) 3-credit hour single term courses. The successful candidate will be required to teach an introductory course on Law and Politics (in both the Fall and Winter terms) two third-year courses on Public Policy and a third-year course in International Law. The appointment includes participation in departmental governance. Honours student supervision may also be assigned.
