Meeting Street is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant in Early Intervention working 40 hours weekly.
Duties:
- Provides general administrative secretarial and clerical support.
- Interacts with pediatrician groups DCF hospitals families and a variety of State agencies including Department of Public Health Department of Education and Department of Transportation and insurance companies on a regular basis.
- Processes all referrals schedules the intake appointment and initial assessment within program guidelines. Maintains the assessment calendar notifying the EI team of upcoming appointments and changes.
- Maintains the EI database in compliance with DPH Early Intervention Operational Standards.
- Reviews referral information forms and other billing information received to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Confirms client/student benefits have been verified prior to entering bills and monitors ongoing eligibility verification.
- Establishes good rapport and cooperative working relationships with agency personnel as well as clients referral sources and third-party payer contacts.

- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two years experience in third party billing/collections required.
- Prior experience in a health care environment.
- Knowledge of electronic claims processing.
- Fully bilingual (read write speak translate) in both English and Spanish languages required.
