Our client a major infrastructure contractor is seeking a Junior Engineer Survey to join their project team delivering a large civil infrastructure development in Melbourne.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience across construction surveying engineering coordination and project delivery.
You will work closely with the project engineering and survey teams to support planning site activities and engineering documentation.
About the Role
- Assist with engineering support and site coordination activities
- Support survey and engineering data collection across the project
- Review plans and design documentation to assist with constructability
- Monitor and track construction progress across civil rail and earthworks activities
- Assist with maintaining accurate as-built data
- Prepare documentation and reports to support project delivery
- Support procurement of materials and services as required
- Assist with management of survey control networks and site survey requests
Technical Responsibilities
- Carry out GPS and instrument surveys on site when required
- Assist with drone flights to capture survey data
- Upload and process survey data for project tracking and reporting
- Support management of IFC drawings and design revisions
- Use AutoCAD to assist with temporary works or design drafting tasks
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Strong interest in civil infrastructure and construction projects
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within project teams
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Drivers licence
