As aSr Quality Eng Technicianhere at Honeywell you will be performing a comprehensive analysis of products returned by customers verifying their warranty eligibility and coverage and identifying the root cause of any defects. You will report directly to ourSr Quality Eng Supervisorand youll work out of ourLugoj Timislocation on anOn-Sitework schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive physical return items from customers and conduct a Goods Receipt in SAP verifying the material numbers against SAP records for accuracy.
- Create a Quality Notification (QN) for each individual material and generate an associated task for the RMA administration team to process credit notes or invalidate warranties as appropriate.
- Conduct a thorough investigation of the reported defect in the product and document the findings within the QN.
- Execute physical disposal (SCRAP) of products that are deemed irreparable and record the disposition in SAP accordingly.
- For production-related defects identified during analysis escalate the issue to the Quality Management (QM) team for further resolution.
- If necessary prepare a detailed investigation report to accompany the repaired product or to be sent to the customer upon request via email.
Qualifications:
- Technical secondary education in electronics (preferably)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electronics industry or previous role within HLS
- In-depth knowledge of electronics
- Manual dexterity for detailed assembly and repair activities
- Proficient in using manual tools (tweezers screwdrivers soldering irons)
