Whats the role
An opportunity to join the Financial Crime Legal team as an AML Advisory Lawyer / Senior Lawyer providing expert legal advice on Australias AML/CTF legislative framework. The role plays a key part in advising on AML/CTF obligations and reforms supporting regulatory engagement managing external legal advisers and partnering with stakeholders across the business to manage financial crime risk.
What do I need
- 7 plus PQE experience
- Strong understanding of AML/CTF obligations including designated services customer due diligence reporting obligations and transfers of value.
- Ability to interpret and navigate complex legislation and translate it into clear practical advice.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with senior stakeholders and contributing to effective risk management and governance.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage external counsel and support regulatory responses (AUSTRAC and other regulators).
