Whats the role

An opportunity to join the Financial Crime Legal team as an AML Advisory Lawyer / Senior Lawyer providing expert legal advice on Australias AML/CTF legislative framework. The role plays a key part in advising on AML/CTF obligations and reforms supporting regulatory engagement managing external legal advisers and partnering with stakeholders across the business to manage financial crime risk.

What do I need

7 plus PQE experience
Strong understanding of AML/CTF obligations including designated services customer due diligence reporting obligations and transfers of value.
Ability to interpret and navigate complex legislation and translate it into clear practical advice.
Demonstrated experience engaging with senior stakeholders and contributing to effective risk management and governance.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage external counsel and support regulatory responses (AUSTRAC and other regulators).
