Overview: The Principal Security Leader role drives strategic security adoption across the entire Australia and New Zealand Public Sector portfolio encompassing Federal Government National Security Defence Healthcare and Life Sciences Education and Research and State/Local Government segments. This role combines deep cross-sector security expertise with business development acumen to create repeatable patterns for security modernization and adoption at scale within diverse government contexts.
Strategic Impact: Operating across multiple public sector domains with distinct security requirements regulatory and compliance frameworks this role architects and executes security-focused GTM strategies that enable both market creation and market scaling across varied maturity levels. The position requires sophisticated engagement across technical and business stakeholders to drive cloud adoption through both one-to-one and one-to-many motions while understanding the unique security and regulatory requirements of each sector. The position works in collaboration with partner teams including Compliance & Security Assurance Public Policy and OCISO capabilities ensuring proactive positioning of cloud centric security models that enable broad based adoption whilst lifting the watermark of government and customer cyber capability.

Navigate diverse regulatory requirements including:
ISM Protected/NZISM Restricted/Confidential data classifications for Federal Government
IRAP and Essential Eight for National Security and Regulated Industries
NEHTA and Privacy Act for Healthcare
CAUDIT and AARNet requirements for Education
State-specific security frameworks for State Government
Enable security modernization across all government tiers
Technical Security Excellence
Design multi-sector security architectures and patterns
Guide security implementations across varied compliance regimes
Develop sector-specific security reference architectures
Enable cross-sector security integration patterns
Market Development
Create sector-specific security adoption programs
Design vertical-aligned security GTM strategies

- 7 years of developing negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 7 years of business development partnership management or sourcing new business experience
- 7 years of professional or military experience
- Experience writing technical articles speaking at technology conferences and contributing to open source
- Experience developing and executing on GTM strategies that are large in scope
- Experience developing deploying and managing AI products at scale
- Experience interfacing with customers (Enterprise SMB and Startups) and ability to convert customer requirements to high level architecture solutions to build on
