Job Summary
Position Description:
Recognised as one of the worlds largest IT and business consulting firms CGI has offices across Australia supporting local public and private sector clients to solve real business problems.
We have a newly created opportunity for Junior Cloud / Platform Engineers who want to further their experience building migrating and modernising cloud platforms on AWS. Working as part of consulting delivery teams you will be involved in customer environments from day one delivering cloud migrations platform modernisation and greenfield builds using modern DevOps and cloud-native practices.
Building on your 1-2 years of early-career experience with AWS and cloud-native tooling you will have the opportunity to continue to grow alongside experienced mentors and senior engineers. Structured mentoring real project work and strong learning and development
support is part of our culture.
Flexible work is available including hybrid work from home and client site arrangements.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Build deploy and operate workloads on AWS
. Contribute to large-scale cloud migration and modernisation projects
. Assist with database migration and platform modernisation activities
. Support and improve Kubernetes-based platforms
. Help implement secure observable and automated cloud environments
. Work alongside senior engineers within consulting delivery teams
. Engage with clients as part of project delivery
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Technical Skills
. AWS fundamentals and cloud security concepts
. Containers and Kubernetes experience
. Git-based workflows and CI/CD tooling
. Exposure to some of:
o DevOps tooling security and observability artifacts & artifact repositories
Database Exposure
. Basic database concepts
. Experience in database migration and modernisation
