As an Associate within TCIO Operations you will collaborate with a dedicated team to manage the Intelligent Solutions (IS) initiatives for TCIO Operations. You will design and implement solutions using the Firms IS toolset including Python Alteryx Pega and Tableau ensuring compliance with Firm policies and change management standards. Your role will involve incorporating Generative AI into both new and existing projects as well as migrating and building solutions in cloud environments like Databricks and Snowflake. You will take on multiple roles throughout the lifecycle of an IA solution such as project manager business analyst and solution developer working closely with business stakeholders to align solutions with strategic business needs. Collaboration with other IA teams and TCIOs core Technology team will be essential to leverage best practices and design flexible reusable solutions that integrate seamlessly into the existing business architecture. You will document solutions for easy support and configuration by business process owners post-development and monitor the execution of IS tools producing analytics and MIS for leadership reviews. This role will enhance your expertise in data management and analysis improve your technical and programming skills and deepen your understanding of asset and liability management principles for a large financial institution. You will also develop a strong grasp of key risk measures used to manage balance sheet risk stay informed about industry and regulatory changes and interact with senior executives and external regulators for ad hoc analysis requests.
Job responsibilities
- Design and build solutions utilizing the Firms full IS toolset including Python Alteryx Pega & Tableau in the most expedited and controlled way while ensuring compliance with Firm IS policies and change management standards.
- Incorporate Generative AI in the design and development for new and existing projects.
- Migrate and build solutions in Cloud based environments such as Databricks and Snowflake.
- Wear many hats during the life cycle of an IA solution including project manager business analyst and solution developer. This will also include working with business stakeholders to understand their processes to ensure the solution meets the strategic needs of the business overall.
- Work with other IA teams across the firm and TCIOs core Technology team to leverage all ideas and best practices to ensure the most efficient solution is built and in the most expedited way. This includes the design of flexible solutions that can be recycled across the Firm to solve common business problems and that integrate efficiently into the existing business architecture. Document solutions so they can be easily supported and configured as needed by business process owners after development is completed.
- Monitor execution of all IS tools and produce associated analytics and MIS to be shared with leadership as part of recurring reviews.
- Become an expert in data management and analysis while improving their technical and programming skills with analytical and intelligent solution tools utilized in the industry.
- Utilize cutting edge third party and generative AI toolsets as part of their day to day. Improve their understanding of asset and liability management principles for a large financial institution with a balance sheet in excess of 2.5 trillion.
- Develop a good understanding of the key risk measures used by a financial institution to manage balance sheet risk.
- Stay connected to changes in the industry and the regulatory landscape.
- Interact with senior executives and external regulators on a periodic basis as part of ad hocanalysis requests.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Degree in a Technological Data Science or Finance related field and at least 3 years experience working in a financial oriented role.
- Strong programming skills in Python with advanced proficiency in SQL for performing data analysis.
- Previous experience using Databricks or Snowflake.
- Previous experience developing solutions incorporating Gen AI. > 3 years experience developing process improvement solutions.
- Prior project management experience including planning and managing a project end to end.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills critical thinking investigative problem-solving and decision making talents.
- Ability to work under pressure prioritize multitask and bring tasks to complete closure.
- Organized and able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare executive level presentations.
- Ability to work across teams and drive initiatives forward.
- Previous experience managing and developing a team.
