Youll be based in our Florence South Carolina location where youll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that fosters innovation and collaboration. You will support our Drug Substance Division at Thermo Fisher Scientific and play an important role in our companys success.

A Day in the Life:
Guide strategic initiatives implement continuous improvement methodologies and develop high-performing teams that deliver effective solutions for our customers worldwide.
Through cross-functional collaboration youll enhance manufacturing processes manage budgets and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- This leadership role involves directing manufacturing teams across various product lines while ensuring the highest standards of safety quality and operational excellence.
Keys to Success:
Education
BS degree required. Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering Chemical Engineering Life Sciences Chemistry or related technical field.
Advanced degree highly preferred.
Six Sigma PMP or other relevant professional certifications highly valued.
Experience
6-8 years of experience in manufacturing operations management with 5 years leading teams.
Demonstrated experience in regulated environments (ISO 13485 cGMP FDA)
Experience managing budgets and driving cost optimization initiatives.
Experience with change management and process optimization.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
Strong knowledge of spray drying operations
Strong track record of implementing continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma PPI)
Expert knowledge of manufacturing KPIs productivity metrics and financial management
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic operational plans
Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated success in team development
Excellence in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Expertise in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Success in adapting to changing priorities
Strong project management and organizational skills
Commitment to safety quality and regulatory compliance
Willingness to travel as required (<15% likely little to no travel required)
