The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer to join the team with a strong background in water and wastewater treatment. This person will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of design budgeting and construction of Water and Wastewater treatment plants. This includes design specifications and calculations submittal drawings assistance with bid proposals budgets and estimating. This will be a hybrid role based out of our Houston office.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


Strong experience in process design of water and wastewater treatment plants including biological treatment mechanical treatment and physicochemical treatment processes.

Thorough understanding of engineering designs layouts and process piping including civil structural mechanical electrical and instrumentation details.

Background and experience with Regulatory agencies permitting process for water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Oversee and review the development of the submittal fabrication and construction drawings.

Work with recent graduates and other staff members to coordinate on the submittals fabrication and construction drawings.

Prepare technical specifications and design calculations.

Assist in the preparation of bid proposals budgeting and estimating.

Occasional site visits to plant facilities.

Act as a liaison with public and private sector clients government review and approval agencies consultants and contractors.

Review local state and federal regulatory requirements for compliance.


Qualification/Requirements:

Past experience with environmental regulations including TCEQ and other agencies.

Experience with process treatment software including Biowin GPS-X and hydraulic analysis software.

Experience with CAD software.

Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to read write and communicate effectively in the English language.

Must be able to develop and make good use of process and instrumentation drawings.

An intense motivation for professional growth and a strong desire to learn.

Ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently under tight deadlines.

Ability to work hybrid schedule (3 days per week in the office required).

Ability to travel as needed.


Education/Experience:

Bachelors degree in environmental civil chemical or mechanical engineering from an accredited university. Graduate level degree is preferred.

Must have an Professional Engineering certification or be eligible to take and pass the required examination within six months.

5 Years of experience working on Wastewater Treatment Plants or similar highly preferred.
