We are seeking a handson and motivated Assurance Manager to join a relatively new assurance team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the function make a meaningful impact and deliver tangible value to the organisation.
You will work collaboratively across all departments to strengthen governance risk management and internal controls while driving continuous improvement throughout the business.
About the role
In this position youll partner closely with teams right across WM to strengthen governance risk management and internal controls while championing continuous improvement.
You will:
- Lead and execute endtoend Internal Assurance engagements aligned with the approved IA plan
- Prepare highquality assurance reports that deliver clear findings insights and practical recommendations
- Support development of the annual assurance plan including maintenance of the assurance map and assurance universe
- Provide trusted advice to leaders on governance risk and control matters
- Identify opportunities to use data to enhance risk identification control testing and insights
- Monitor and validate managements implementation of audit and assurance recommendations
- Keep up to date with emerging risks best practice and relevant industry and regulatory developments
