Reports to:Building Principal
General Summary: Club Sponsors are responsible for organizing
leading and instructing the Madison Elementary Clubs at various points throughout the school role involves teaching organizing and supervising club meetings and
managing students.
Essential Functions:
- Instruction: Develop and deliver age-appropriate content appropriate lessons for students in the club.
- Club Management: Organize and lead regular club meetings. Create a structured schedule for meetings.
- Student Supervision: Supervise all students during club activities ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with the school administration parents and students. Provide any required updates on club activities and student progress.
- Equipment Management: Overseeany school property or areas utilized during club time and ensure it is stored and maintained properly.
- Recruitment and Promotion: Assist in promoting the club to students and families
Qualifications:
- Experience: Experience teaching or working with elementary-aged children is highly preferred.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of content related to club area.
- Patience & Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with young children. Patience enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check as required by the school district.
This position is paid via a Club hourly rate of $12.00 per hour (as defined by the district collective bargaining agreement) the amount of which will is determined by the number
of sessions and activities.
