Job Summary

The Vice President Visa Direct  Latin America & Caribbean will provide strategic leadership for Money Movement across Latin America combining deep regional payments expertise with strong execution regulatory credibility and the ability to align diverse stakeholders. This role requires a leader who can balance innovation risk and operational excellence while building scalable sustainable payment solutions across markets.


Qualifications :

Payments and Regional Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of Latin American payment ecosystems including local schemes (Pix SPEI PSE) wallets acquirers and real-time and cross-border payments.
  • Strong understanding of interoperability cash-in/cash-out models and emerging technologies including stablecoins and blockchain.
  • Proven experience scaling multi-country multi-currency payment operations ideally across remittances and cross-border use cases.
  • Forward-looking mindset with a continuous focus on market trends and innovation.

Strategy and Execution

  • Demonstrated success launching scaling and optimizing Money Movement products such as payouts A2A wallets disbursements and cross-border corridors.
  • Strong operational discipline with a focus on automation reconciliation liquidity FX management and SLA performance to enable efficient tech-driven growth.

Regulation Risk and Governance

  • Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks across Brazil Mexico Colombia and the broader region including FX cross-border regulations fraud and AML/CFT.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with regulators and correspondent banks positioning innovation within strong control and governance frameworks.

Regional Leadership and Ecosystem Engagement

  • Experience leading distributed multi-country teams and partnering cross-functionally with product sales legal compliance and engineering.
  • Active participation in the regional ecosystem with established relationships across fintechs banks startups investors and industry associations.

Customer Focus and Executive Communication

  • Strong customer and use-case orientation including financial inclusion gig economy B2B cross-border flows marketplace payouts and the creator economy.
  • Excellent executive communication and storytelling skills with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions to senior leaders regulators and internal stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • 12 years of work experience with a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15 years of experience ideally with an advanced degree.
  • 1215 years of business experience in payments fintech or financial services including sales and client management.
  • Proven record of driving revenue growth managing complex product portfolios and executing multi-market strategies.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience developing strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong operational acumen and experience driving process efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Additional Information :

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 222600.00 to 389300.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
