Job Summary
About the Role
The Costing Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely product costing cost reporting in profit and loss accounts and validating cost-saving initiatives across the organization. This role plays a critical part in supporting financial decision-making by providing detailed cost analysis and maintaining strong cost control processes within the manufacturing environment.
What You Will Do
Manage and maintain the product costing system (standard costing).
Perform cost analysis and variance analysis to monitor product cost performance.
Prepare product costing for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
Oversee inventory valuation and cost control processes.
Manage fixed assets accounting and internal controls.
Prepare capital investment appraisals including payback and NPV analysis.
Track and validate cost savings initiatives and projects.
Provide financial insights to support operational and business decisions.
What You Will Need
Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA CIMA ICAEW MICPA or an accounting degree recognized by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (Chartered Accountant Malaysia).
Minimum 6 years of experience in a large manufacturing environment with ERP systems.
Working knowledge of SAP (FI/CO module).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated team leadership ability.
Good communication skills in English both written and spoken.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
