About Team Asgard - Better Route Tribe:

Our dynamic backend team is the powerhouse behind various stateful services and state management systems that drive seamless user experiences across multiple customer integration options. Specializing in the development and integration of complex systems the team expertly manages components such as the stateful tour backend as well as services responsible for driver tasks notifications and timeframes.

These services are meticulously crafted to ensure robust scalable and reliable functionality and interoperabilityboth internally and with external servicesensuring a consistent data flow to our internal data setup.

Our Tech Stack:

• Backend Services: Kotlin Spring Boot Relational Databases (PostgreSQL) AWS (ECS EC2 DynamoDB SQS Eventbridge Elasticache) Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi)

• Data Platform: Python Athena Airflow DBT Snowflake

You will be taking care of

• Being an integral part of the Asgard engineering team and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

• Developing and implementing new features.

• Taking ownership of services infrastructure ensuring its reliability and scalability.

• Owning the full development cycle of features with no hand-offs: from initial definition and CI/CD setup to production monitoring and support.

• Actively participating in architectural discussions to help identify and implement more efficient service designs.

• Taking responsibility for observability and monitoring to maintain transparency and system health.

• Supporting QA processes to ensure high quality and stable releases/

• Working with data analytics to better understand system performance and product impact.

• Actively participating in the teams ceremonies and rituals.

You check these boxes

• Proficient in Kotlin or long production experience in Java with a strong affinity for Kotlin.

• Experienced in building scalable microservices using the Spring Boot ecosystem.

• Experienced in DevOps practices including observability deployment pipelines and managing infrastructure with Infrastructure-as-Code.

• Experienced working with cloud-based services and technologies such as AWS Azure or GCP.

• Strong grasp of engineering best practices and system design principles with experience in designing and implementing robust secure highly available and cost-efficient systems.

• Interested in using AI-assisted workflows and helping us refine our internal AI context and development setup.

• Understanding the importance of continuously delivering value and being able to work in small increments.

• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in an English-speaking environment.

It is awesome if you also have

• A foundational understanding of Python enabling effective collaboration with our data analyst.

• Basic data engineering knowledge to work with data lakes or warehouses for example with set up of data pipelines or DAGs in Airflow.

• Practical experience in optimizing AI-assisted workflows and setting up AI context or development infrastructure.
