The UNF School of Music is seeking a 9-month non-tenure earning Clinical Assistant Professor in Music Education. Position responsibilities include 3/3 teaching load or its equivalent with additional course coordination duties and service. Primary responsibilities include teaching choral methods and elementary methods courses supervising internship and other courses within the music education degree program. Duties beyond course instruction will includemaintaining an active research profile working with state and local school systems and serving as a liaison between the School of Music and the Silverfield College of Education and Human Services. Thesuccessful applicant will also engage in recruitmentand retention byparticipatingin School of Music auditions and maintaining an active presence in state and local K-12 music education.

Supervisor: This position reports to the Director of the School of Music.

Working Hours: Varies

Supervision Exercised: This is not a supervisory role.

Required Licensure: N/A

Anticipated Start Date: The position is expected to begin on August 3 2026.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills: It is preferred thatcandidates have significant college teaching experience and research published in peer-reviewed scholarly journals. Teacher licensure in any U.S. state current or expired is preferred.
