EAPC has an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Student Intern to join our team! This position would provide support to a Mechanical Engineer on various commercial projects as well as provide an opportunity to provide real world application for a candidate in a Mechanical Engineering bachelor program.
As a Mechanical Engineering Student Intern at EAPC you will:
- Work as an Integrated Member of a Multi-Discipline In-House Team of Engineers Architects and Drafting Specialists working with AutoCAD and REVIT
- Assist engineers and CAD Specialists with completing project design documentation calculations research CAD drawings and/or reports
- Assist project engineers and CAD Specialists in preparing project cost estimates reports and design documents
- Assist engineers with calculations and CAD design
- Assist engineers in preparation of reports department procedures techniques and standards
- Other related duties as assigned
Core Competencies:
- Excellent verbal/written communication
- Able to manage time prioritize tasks stay organized
- Excellent design skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and accepting coaching/mentoring
- Must be highly motivated proactive and willing to take on new challenges.
- Able to learn and use software
Qualifications:
- Current Engineering Student with at least 2 years completed in Mechanical Engineering curriculum
- Design experience a plus
- Must proficient in MS Office and basic office equipment
- Knowledgeable
- Valid drivers license
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
This is a non-benefitted position with variable hours contingent on capacity and availability.
