Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant- Technical Lead / Architect
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead / Architect to drive large-scale Mainframe to Oracle Database migration programs. The role involves migrating legacy data stores (DB2 VSAM IMS flat files) from Mainframe environments to Oracle (on-prem or cloud) ensuring high data integrity performance optimization regulatory compliance and seamless business continuity.
This role is critical for modernization initiatives within Banking Financial Services Insurance or other mission-critical industries.
Responsibilities
1. Migration Strategy & Planning
Define end-to-end migration strategy:
oRe-host vs Re-platform vs Re-architect
Conduct application and data landscape assessment.
Create data migration roadmap and phased execution plan.
Identify risks and mitigation strategies.

2. Legacy System Analysis
Analyze:
oDB2 schemas
oVSAM files
oIMS databases
oCOBOL data structures (copybooks)
Perform data model reverse engineering.
Identify embedded business rules and dependencies.
Define transformation logic.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
BTECH
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Target Oracle Architecture Design
Design Oracle database architecture:
oOracle 19c / 21c
oRAC (if high availability required)
oData Guard (DR strategy)
Define schema redesign and normalization strategy.
Implement partitioning and indexing strategy.
Ensure performance tuning and scalability.

4. Data Migration & Transformation
Design ETL/ELT migration framework.
Map legacy data formats to Oracle relational models.
Use tools such as:
oOracle Data Integrator (ODI)
oGoldenGate
oInformatica
oCustom ETL scripts
Implement reconciliation and validation frameworks.
Support parallel run strategy.
