This posting is for 3 vacancies: one full-time 2-year term position one part-time term position ending October 16 2026 working 67.5 hours bi-weekly andone full-time term position ending December 14 2026 working 75 hours bi-weekly. It will establish a12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill anticipatory permanent term AOC and casual vacancies.

Your role

The Yukon Home CareProgramprovides client-focused health services in the home improving quality of life and supporting Yukoners to live independently. Home Care offers a range of services tailored to meet individual needs including support for acute care chronic and palliative conditions. These services are determined through standardized assessments to assist in creating individualized plans of care; and are supported by an interdisciplinary team consisting of Physiotherapists Occupational Therapists Licensed Practical Nurses Social Workers and Home Support Workers.

As an integral team member the Registered Nurse service delivery includesclient specific care coordinationliaising with the medical community direct nursing caresuch as;education treatment related to medical conditions (i.e. wound care ostomy care etc.) collaboration with a multidisciplinary team development of care plans funding requests and other nursing duties.

Essential qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Eligible for Registered Nurse registration with a Canadian registered nursing regulatory authority
  • Recent and relevant clinical nursing experience within the Registered Nurse scope of practice including assessment care planning implementation and evaluation of patient care
  • Home Care and/or Community Care nursing experience would be considered an asset

Conditions of employment

You must meet the following conditions before being hired or within the time frame noted.

  • TB screening
  • Vulnerable Sector RCMP security clearance
  • CPR Level C with AED (complete within last 30 months)
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (complete within last 30 months)
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Valid class 5 Drivers License without driving restrictions
  • Current registration with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association

Job requirements

This job requires you to perform and/or be exposed to the following:

  • Shift work (days evenings weekends including stat holidays)
  • Exposure to plants and/or flowers animals latex products second-hand smoke from residents/clients
  • Heavy lifting 50 lbs and over bending.
  • Travel during inclement weather conditions may be required
