The PSN group is opening a Research engineer position in the field of fiber-refractometry using photonic integrated circuits

Job Description

The successful candidate will perform measurements and data analysis on fiber-tip refractometers based on photonic integrated circuits

Job Requirements

  • Motivated researcher with a Master in Applied Physics
  • Experience in refractive index and temperature measurements using optical fibers is required
  • Ability to conduct high quality academic research reflected in demonstratable outputs.
  • A team player who enjoys working with PhD and Masters students
  • A proven ability to manage complex projects to completion on schedule.
  • Excellent (written and verbal) proficiency in English good communication and leadership skills.

  • Full-time employment for 4 months.
  • Salary in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities scale 7 (min. 3057 max. 3985).
  • A year-end bonus of 8.3% and annual vacation pay of 8%.
