DevOps Engineer II

We are seeking our new DevOps Engineer to join the Axway team!

We are seeking a highly skilledDevOps Engineerto design implement and manage scalable secure and highly available infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bridge development and operations automate workflows improve system reliability and mentor team members while driving DevOps best practices across the organization.

• Location: Sofia Bulgaria
• Work model: Hybrid

• Design build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation ARM etc.)
• Implement and maintain containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker Kubernetes)
• Monitor system performance availability and security using observability tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK Datadog etc.)
• Automate provisioning configuration and deployment processes
• Ensure high availability disaster recovery and backup strategies
• Collaborate closely with development QA and security teams to improve deployment workflows
• Assist in incident response root cause analysis and post-mortems
• Enforce security best practices including secrets management and access control
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers and contribute to technical decision-making

• 5-7 years of experience in DevOps Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or related roles
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure)
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform Ansible CloudFormation etc.)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions GitLab CI Jenkins Azure DevOps etc.)
• Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in scripting/programming (Bash Python Go or similar)
• Solid understanding of networking security and system architecture

Preferred Qualifications

• Kubernetes certifications (CKA CKAD CKS)
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
• Experience with high-traffic production-grade systems
• Cloud certifications (AWS or Azure)

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to lead technical initiatives and influence best practices
• Proactive mindset with a focus on automation and continuous improvement
