This is a highly visible leadership role with accountability for financial reporting operational insight and building a strong accounting team. The right person will bring a sharp financial mind strong business acumen and the ability to partner with operational leaders to support performance across the organization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead all financial operations for multiple dealerships including payroll accounts payable/receivable deal postings reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Ensure accuracy integrity and timeliness of financial statements and operational reporting.
• Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports including year-end preparation and coordination.
• Develop and manage budgets forecasts and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Provide financial insights and guidance to dealership leadership to support operational performance and profitability.
• Coach develop and lead the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with department managers and dealership leadership to support day-to-day business operations.
• Partner with Steele Auto Groups Corporate Finance team to ensure consistent reporting standards and strong communication.
• Travel between locations as required.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting Commerce Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience ideally within the automotive industry or a multi-location business environment.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach develop and motivate a team.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong overall MS Office skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and financial platforms (experience with HRIS or dealership systems is considered an asset).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate financial insights into meaningful business conversations.
