Electronic Component Engineer-(Harness Components)
This role involves the design development and testing of wiring harness components such as connectors terminals and insulating parts. The position is within the electrical center of excellence division at Cat technology and will focus on developing new harness components for Caterpillar machines.
Responsibilities:
Develop connectors according to specific application requirements. Oversee the current product portfolio and offer guidance on application usage.
Develop and execute validation plans (DVP&R) for wiring harness components including environmental and durability testing.
Overseeing compliance with development processes and regulations for harness components
Investigating and troubleshooting all technical issues related to wiring harness components
Managing and negotiating with harness components suppliers for the development of systems and components.
Mentoring drawing detailing technicians and engineers in the design and development of wiring harness components.
Drive innovation by adopting new technologies and materials for improved reliability and cost-effectiveness.
Degree Requirement:
A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required. Candidates should have 7years of experience in the design and development of connectors. Experience in high voltage connector design and development will be considered an advantage.
