Advanced Topics in Medical Informatics and Telemedicine
Special Topics: Intelligent Health Informatics

Healthcare data information knowledge processes and analysis. Identify and address challenges and opportunities as we envision the transformation of the healthcare system into a digital patient-specific/patient-centered system. Design the process of healthcare information system (HCIS) acquisition development implementation and support. Discuss critical aspects of healthcare delivery workflows and understand how an Intelligent HCIS changes the workflowsand how to manage that change. Understand major algorithms for healthcare applications and IT components in representative clinical processes. Discuss various data processing techniques on healthcare data sets and engage in data analysis and visualization to create an Intelligent Clinical Decision Support System. Digitization of the disease processes diagnostic modalities and treatments associated with common disease processes.

  • PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with specialization.

  • Strong background and demonstrable expertise in the subject.
