The Opportunity:
Were seeking an intern to join our Visa team for a fourâmonth opportunity. The Visa team supports risk and analytics activities for Vancitys Visa credit card portfolio playing a key role in managing account originations and developing credit strategies for both Retail and Business Visa products.
This role will report to a Manager within the Visa Risk and Analytics team and offers handsâon exposure to dataâdriven decisionâmaking in a dynamic financial services environment.
A typical day would involve:
- Supporting day-to-day data activities related to Visa Risk and Analytics by gathering cleaning validating and organizing data from multiple sources
- Using Excel SQL and other tools to manipulate data investigate data quality and support analytical activities
- Assisting with analyzing trends preparing insights and to support decision making within the Visa team
- Creating spreadsheets presentations and documentation to support analysts and managers
- Collaborating with Visa Planning & Settlement Payments Operations and Risk & Analytics partners on assigned tasks and projects

You have:
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program within an applicable field and eligible for co-op/internship opportunities
- An interest in data analysis analytics and financial services
- A willingness to work in a highly flexible environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A high level of attention to detail
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with SQL or data querying
- Exposure to Python R or SAS
- Familiarity with financial or operational data sets
- Prior coursework or experience in analytics data science
What Youll Earn:
This role offers a pay range of $27.85/hr.
