The Opportunity:
Were looking for an intern to join our Branding & Digital Marketing team for a 4-month opportunity. The Branding and Digital Marketing team supports how Vancity shows up across digital channels helping tell our story in a clear inclusive and valuesâdriven way. This role will report to the Lead Social Media Strategist and work closely with members of the digital brand and communications teams.
A typical day would involve:
- Assisting with creating scheduling and publishing social media content across Vancitys social channels
- Supporting the coordination of content planning by researching trends monitoring performance and helping brainstorm creative ideas
- Drafting social post captions/copy adapt existing content for different platforms and help ensure posts align with brand guidelines
- Engaging with internal partners to gather content updates and campaign information
- Tracking basic metrics and help summarize social media performance for the team
You are:

- Curious & innovative - You always do your research and analyze it to assess and recommend a course of action considering industry best practices
- A team player - you can engage with members of your team as well as cross-functional teams and are willing to collaborate across projects and initiatives.
You have:
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program within an applicable field and eligible for co-op/internship opportunities
- An interest in social media content creation or digital storytelling
- A willingness to work in a highly flexible environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A high level of attention to detail
Bonus points if you have:
- Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g. Instagram TikTok LinkedIn Facebook)
- Basic design or video editing experience (e.g. Canva Adobe tools CapCut)
- Marketing communications or branding experience
- An interest in equityâfocused communityâbased or purposeâdriven organizations
What Youll Earn:
This role offers a pay range of $27.85/hr.
