Job Summary
TRIA is looking to hire a Patient Assistant to join our surgery center team!Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
The Patient Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse utilizing his/her skill and expertise to complement other health care providers. Major functions include: collecting data recording and reporting patient information to the RN. Assisting patients with ambulating or providing appropriate activity using lift devices transfer belts etc. as necessary; assisting with nutritional needs (feeding); performing vital signs i.e. temperature pulse respiration and blood pressure; measuring and recording intake and output. Patient care is adapted to fit age-specific needs of each patient.
Work Schedule:
M-F varying day shift start times. No weekends or holidays. 2 shift minimum per month commitment.
Required Qualifications:
- BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines or American Red Cross.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school graduate preferred.
Nursing Assistant Certification preferred
Listed on the Nursing Assistant Registry preferred
Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
