Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse Neuro ICU Step-Down
Location: Neptune NJ 07754
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Rate: Local: $2104.50/week Travel: $2452/week
Schedule:
Day Shift: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
Weekends/Holidays: Required as needed
On-Call: None
Float: Required within competency as needed
Position Overview
A healthcare facility in Neptune NJ is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Neuro ICU Step-Down / Cardiac Vascular Post-Surgical Step-Down Unit. The RN will provide high-quality patient-centered care for patients requiring close monitoring following neurological cardiac vascular or post-surgical procedures.
The role involves collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to assess patient conditions implement individualized care plans perform therapeutic interventions and document care accurately. Ideal candidates have strong MS/Telemetry and neuro care experience and thrive in fast-paced acute care environments.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care
Plan implement and document nursing care based on patient needs
Perform ongoing patient assessments and prioritize care appropriately
Develop and coordinate individualized patient care plans
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and monitor patient responses
Manage care of patients in a Neuro ICU Step-Down environment
Accurately document care according to clinical standards and patient acuity
Support evidence-based nursing practices
Deliver patient-centered care aligned with professional nursing models
Float to other units within competency as required
Required Qualifications
Active RN License (NJ State or Compact License)
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
Minimum 2 years RN experience in MS/Telemetry in an acute care hospital
Neuro experience required
Epic charting experience required
Telemetry experience required
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Preferred Experience
Ventilator management experience
Post-cardiac surgery experience
Post-surgical patient care experience
5 years RN experience preferred
