Job Summary

Are you an enthusiastic and innovative Food Technology Teacher seeking an opportunity within a leading independent school We are working with a highly regarded Independent School in Harpenden to appoint a talented Food Technology Teacher to join their successful Design & Technology faculty starting ASAP. This is a full-time permanent position offering the opportunity to teach motivated pupils in a supportive and academically ambitious environment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Food Technology across KS3KS5 depending on experience

  • Deliver engaging practical and theory lessons

  • Support students in developing culinary skills food preparation techniques and nutritional knowledge

  • Monitor student progress and provide high-quality feedback

  • Contribute to curriculum development and innovative teaching strategies

  • Maintain a safe and well-organised food preparation environment

  • Support extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs or food enrichment programmes

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Food Technology Hospitality Nutrition or a related subject

  • PGCE or QTS

  • Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary or independent school setting

  • Passion for practical learning and creative teaching approaches
