About the role
The successful candidate will lead the Music department while delivering high-quality lessons and developing a vibrant musical culture across the school.
The role will involve:
Leading and developing the Music department
Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4
Planning and delivering an engaging Music curriculum including performance composition and theory
Organising concerts performances and school productions
Supporting extracurricular music opportunities such as choirs and ensembles
Monitoring student progress and maintaining strong academic outcomes

The ideal candidate
Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Music
Experience teaching Music across KS3 and KS4
Leadership experience or readiness to lead a department
A proactive and collaborative approach to teaching and leadership
