Job Summary

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) Behavioral Health (Dementia Care)

Location: Newark NY 14513
Contract: 13 Weeks

Pay:

Local: $1125/week
Travel: $1386/week

Shift: Mid Shift 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Schedule: 5 8-hour shifts per week
Weekend: Every other weekend required
Floating: As needed

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care to dementia and behavioral health patients
Monitor vital signs blood glucose and intake/output
Use de-escalation and behavior management techniques
Follow safety and isolation protocols
Assist with specimen collection and labeling
Document patient care in the EMR system
Report changes in patient condition to the care team

Requirements:

Active LPN/LVN license
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
BLS certification required
Experience in skilled nursing long-term care or behavioral health preferred
EMR experience preferred

Skills:

Behavioral health and dementia care
De-escalation techniques
Managing challenging behaviors
Vital signs and glucose monitoring
Intake and output monitoring
Specimen handling and documentation
