DescriptionHWI has a fantastic opportunity to join our Human Resources Team as an HR Intern. This is a challenging role in which you will apply your academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment while supporting HarbisonWalker Internationals Field HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Team with various projects. You will gain hands-on experience in areas such as audits compliance engagement surveys recruitment and data analytics.
Responsibilities
- Assist with various HR audits and related action items
- Assist with ensuring HR policies procedures and practices remain compliant with federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Assist with onboarding new employees and various other new hire initiatives
- Assist with talent acquisition (posting positions sourcing resumes phone screening arranging interviews updating interview guides)
- Assist with employee turnover analysis and implementing recommendations
- Review and update SOPs and assist with other directed projects
Requirements
- Pursuing a MA BA or BS degree in organizational development I/O psychology human resources or equivalent minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Requires a general knowledge of best practices in learning including learning theories and instructional design models
- Requires a problem-solving and analytical mindset interested in process improvement
- Requires the ability to influencing people and teams
- Requires computer operation skills including Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Visio Project) and other software tools/ solutions as needed to prepare documents and presentations.
- Requires analytical skills and the ability to assemble data
- Requires time management and organization skills with accurate and precise attention to detail
- Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team and individual environment
