Epic Architect (Clinical & Business Applications)
- Location: Dallas TX (90% remote onsite as needed); must reside in AR FL GA MO MS NC OK TN UT or TX

- Employment Type: 4 Month Contract to Hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary architect for Epic clinical and business applications across the enterprise
- Define and maintain architectural blueprint for Epic systems
- Guide system design integration interoperability and workflow optimization
- Evaluate and recommend approaches for major Epic initiatives upgrades and new modules
- Collaborate with clinical operational and revenue cycle leadership to align solutions with business needs
- Ensure architectural consistency across Epic modules including ClinDoc Orders ASAP OpTime Anesthesia HIM Prelude Cadence HB Billing HB Claims HB Contracts Grand Central/ADT Radiant Willow and more
- Oversee Epic system integration with ancillary and third-party applications; manage data flows and interoperability standards
- Establish and enforce architectural guardrails best practices and documentation
- Review and approve solution designs for consistency and maintainability
- Participate in Epic governance and steering committees
- Mentor Epic analysts and technical teams; support succession planning and internal capacity building
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years experience with Epic in large hospital or health system environments
- Deep expertise with both clinical and business/revenue cycle Epic applications
- Proven experience designing enterprise-level Epic architectures
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows (RN or clinical background preferred)
- Experience collaborating with clinical operational and technical stakeholders
- Ability to lead complex cross-functional projects independently
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an Epic Architect or Senior Epic Technical Lead
- Experience in large integrated delivery networks (IDNs) or multi-hospital systems
- Multiple Epic certifications (clinical and business modules)
- Familiarity with ancillary Epic systems (Radiant Willow Beaker Cupid)
Epic Certifications (Preferred):
- Clinical: ClinDoc Orders ASAP OpTime Anesthesia
- Business: Prelude Cadence HIM HB Billing HB Claims HB Contracts
- Ancillary: Radiant Willow (Beaker/Cupid not required)
Contract-to-Hire Details:
- 4 month contract-to-hire arrangement
- Competitive salary upon conversion dependent on experience and certifications
