Job Description

The Client is seeking an experienced Project Estimator to support mining construction and Oil & Gas related projects. The Project Estimator will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates budgets and forecasts for capital and operational projects using industry-standard estimating tools and methodologies.

This is a remote position requiring strong collaboration with project managers engineers and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for mining construction and Oil & Gas projects
Develop conceptual preliminary and definitive estimates using RSMeans
Analyze drawings specifications scope documents and schedules
Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for labor materials and equipment
Support project budgeting cost control and change management
Evaluate vendor and subcontractor bids and proposals
Identify cost risks assumptions and opportunities for optimization
Collaborate with engineering procurement and project teams to validate estimates
Maintain historical cost data and benchmarking for future projects

Required Qualifications

5 Years - Proven experience as a Project Estimator in Mining and Construction environments
Experience supporting Oil & Gas projects is a strong plus
Hands-on experience with RSMeans estimating tools
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and cost drivers
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Proficiency in Excel and cost estimating software
Strong analytical communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Mining Engineering Construction Management or a related field
