Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA ETL Tester to join our team in Katy TX. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in functional testing SQL and ETL integration testing. This role involves validating data pipelines ensuring data accuracy across systems and collaborating with development and data engineering teams to maintain high data quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional testing of data integration and ETL processes.
- Validate ETL workflows to ensure accurate data extraction transformation and loading.
- Write and execute SQL queries to verify data integrity and completeness.
- Develop and maintain test cases test plans and test scripts for ETL and data validation.
- Identify log and track defects using defect tracking tools.
- Work closely with data engineers developers and business analysts to understand data requirements.
- Perform data reconciliation and validation between source and target systems.
- Participate in test planning execution and reporting.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Functional Testing.
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.
- Hands-on experience in ETL testing and data warehouse testing.
- Understanding of data integration concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake Redshift or similar.
- Knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica Talend or SSIS.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.
