Job Summary

What awaits you:

Build up a new dedicated team and drive its technical direction bringing agentic AI systems into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for BMW vehicles. This is not about incremental tooling improvements its about pioneering an AI-first approach to how automotive software is built.

Specifically you will:

Design build and operate multi-agent systems and agentic workflows (LLM orchestration tool-use agents autonomous coding pipelines)
Build the scaffolding that makes agents productive test infrastructure CI/CD feedback loops machine-readable codebases and architectural guardrails
Deploy and run these systems in cloud-native environments at scale
Drive measurable improvements in developer productivity across the SDLC
Ensure AI system quality evaluation frameworks guardrails output validation and responsible AI practices
Pioneer the transformation toward an AI-first SDLC
Collaborate closely with teams in Munich to align on strategy and architecture

What you bring:

8 years of experience in Hands-on Software Development
5 years of experience inAI/ML research and development
Deep hands-on experience with LLMs agent frameworks (e.g. Lang Graph CrewAI Auto Gen) coding agents (e.g. Claude Code Codex) tool-use protocols (e.g. MCP) and AI system design at production scale
Strong software engineering background you drive systems from concept to production Familiarity with cloud-native toolchains (Kubernetes CI/CD IaC)
Experience leading technical teams (5 years in senior/lead roles)
Experience with MLOps and AI security in enterprise environments is a strong plus
Automotive and large-scale enterprise experience is a plus
