Job Summary

What are we looking for

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills with a strong focus on Owner relations Commercial and Operations guest experience and Team Memberengagement. Enthusiastic and passionate you will have current or previous experience as a General Manager within a similar quality hotel and ideally with hotel openings experience.

A General Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role you should maintain the attitude behaviours skills and values that follow:

  • An established General Manager with Hilton experience/International Brand experience or a firsttime GM candidate with robust commercial and operational capability who is a Hilton Shine GM Graduate.

  • Preopening experience or major renovation and repositioning experience.

  • Strong ability to collaborate and build effective networks with owners contractors corporate partners and commercial stakeholders maintaining high visibility across all key relationships.

  • Proven ability to deliver innovative commercial opportunities with experience driving profitability across key segments such as MICE groups corporate leisure and tour operator business.

  • Exceptional people leadershipcapable of uniting teams developing talent and embedding Hiltons culture and values to drive engagement and retention.

  • Strong stakeholder and ownermanagement experience demonstrating diplomacy clear communication and alignment with shared goals.

  • Ability to show resilience sound judgement and confident leadership in dynamic environments.

  • Experience managing budgets revenue proposals and forecasting within a similarsized property (or proven capability to step into this responsibility for firsttime GMs).

  • Solid understanding of the hotel hospitality and service sectors.

  • Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or an equivalent qualification.

  • Fluency in English; additional languages as required for the region.

The Property

Hilton Garden Inn Tunis Carthage is a newly built 170key hotel located in the upscale Jardins de Carthage district one of Tunis most modern and fastdeveloping areas. Positioned just 11 km from TunisCarthage International Airport and close to major business and leisure demand generators including Carthage Sidi Bou Saïd the embassy district key conference centres and the Lake of Tunis the property will serve both corporate and leisure travellers. The hotel will offer contemporary guestrooms an allday dining restaurant a lobby lounge a rooftop restaurant and terrace flexible meeting spaces a fitness centre and an indoor pool creating a strong foundation for a successful market entry.

The Role

This exciting General Manager position will be responsible for managing the Pre-opening phase of the hotel Hotel Management team and once open hotel targets to deliver an excellent Guest and Team Member experience while managing profitability and meeting our Owners expectations.

What will you be doing

Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Manage and lead the full preopening phase of the hotel and once open oversee all operational performance.

  • Drive the ongoing profitability of the hotel ensuring revenue targets guest satisfaction outcomes and Team Member engagement scores are achieved and exceeded.

  • Lead on all key property matters including capital projects customer service and any refurbishment or development initiatives.

  • Ensure all decisions align with the best interests of the hotel and Hilton.

  • Deliver achievable hotel budgets and establish both short and longterm strategic goals for the property.

  • Provide exceptional leadership to all Team Members with a strong focus on Hilton culture and values.

  • Lead in all aspects of business planning.

  • Ensure full compliance with Hilton Brand Service Standards consistently exceeding expectations.

  • Ensure cost controls are in place and effectively managed.

  • Manage and develop the Hotel Executive Team ensuring succession planning and career progression across Hilton.

  • Hold regular briefings and communication meetings with the HOD team.

  • Respond effectively to audits driving continual improvement in all areas of the hotel.
